Holding Power Accountable Through Policy Advocacy

Aug 15, 2025
Advocating for human rights also means challenging unjust systems and pushing for better laws and policies. At INTREPID South Sudan, we work to bridge the gap between the people and the policymakers. We engage with government institutions, participate in consultations, and submit policy recommendations on issues like gender equality, access to justice, freedom of expression, and protection for vulnerable groups. We also partner with other civil society organizations to form advocacy coalitions, strengthening our voice and influence at the national level. Human rights cannot thrive without political will—and political will is often the result of persistent, informed, and collective advocacy.
